MEK members, massacred in 1988<\/a>, the composers of \u201cthe right to free election\u201d and \u201cthe right to freedom of thought\u201d in the free Iran of tomorrow<\/p>\n

In 1988, Khomeini committed a widespread massacre of 30,000 political prisoners<\/a>, the majority of them, the members and supporters of the MEK.<\/p>\n

The People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran \u2013 PMOI\/MEK<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The massacre of Iranian political prisoners in mid-summer of 1988 is considered to be the greatest crime against humanity after the World War II. It is a crime that all the factions of the theocratic regime ruling Iran took part in, and a pond sea of blood that Khomeini baptized all his regime in it.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the international protests against the tortures and the executions of political prisoners in mullahs regime\u2019s prisons, regime\u2019s officials including then prime minister, Mir Hossein Mosavi and then foreign minister, Velayati, on the recommendation of Khomeini, would answer: \u201cWe have no political prisoners in Iran\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Khomeini had told them to call the MEK and other political prisoners as terrorists and never admit to the existence of any \u201cpolitical prisoners\u201d,. and never talk about them with any political or legal entities in the world.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/2018\/08\/28\/maryam-rajavi-1988-massacre-iran\/<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, September 14<sup>th<\/sup>, on the occasion of the 30<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of this massacre, a commemorative meeting will be held with the participation of a number of human rights activists at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva.
