Stockholm, Sweden \u2013 July 19, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) gathered in Stockholm to protest the Iranian regime\u2019s ongoing human rights abuses, particularly its use of systematic torture and the death penalty<\/a> against political prisoners. The rally focused on the urgent situation of prisoners of conscience who face imminent execution<\/a> for supporting the PMOI.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"885\">Participants denounced the regime\u2019s recent threats to transfer <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2025\/07\/saeed-masouris-resistance-irans-crackdown-on-political-prisoners-exposed\/76314\/\" rel=\"\">Saeed Masouri<\/a>\u2014one of Iran\u2019s longest-imprisoned political prisoners\u2014to the notorious Zahedan Prison. They described this threat as a clear signal of danger to his life and part of the regime\u2019s strategy of intimidation and isolation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"887\" data-end=\"1181\">Protesters also condemned the wider policy of forcibly displacing political prisoners, warning that such actions are often a precursor to mass executions and enforced disappearances. Drawing parallels to the <a href=\"https:\/\/iran1988.org\/1988-massacre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1988 massacre<\/a> of political prisoners in Iran, they declared: \u201cA crime is in progress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1183\" data-end=\"1458\">The demonstrators called for the immediate release of all political prisoners and urged the international community to hold the Iranian regime accountable for its crimes. They appealed for the prosecution of regime leaders in international courts for crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"379\" data-end=\"589\">The rally organizers also highlighted the <span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3 r-a8ghvy\"><a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\" rel=\"\">PMOI<\/a><\/span><\/span>\u2019s vision of a free, democratic, and secular Iran, firmly rejecting both the current
