Manchester, UK \u2013 August 7, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 The Academics in Exile Association, in support of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>), hosted a public photo exhibition and bookstall in Manchester to condemn the execution of Iranian political prisoners by the regime of Iran\u2019s ruling clerics. The event specifically condemned the recent state-sanctioned executions of Mehdi Hassani<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0 Behrouz Ehsani<\/a>, both members of the PMOI.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"931\" data-end=\"971\">The organizers and participants put forward three main demands:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"973\" data-end=\"1180\">\n<li data-start=\"973\" data-end=\"1029\">\n<p data-start=\"975\" data-end=\"1029\">The complete abolition of the death penalty in Iran.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1101\">\n<p data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1101\">The immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1180\">\n<p data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"1180\">International recognition of the Iranian people\u2019s right to resist tyranny.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><iframe title=\"Manchester Exhibition \u2013 August 7, 2025: Stop Executions in Iran, Free Political Prisoners - 2\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SmA4-EbzFaU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1182\" data-end=\"1440\">Participants also urged the UK government to designate Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\">IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist organization and to close the Iranian regime\u2019s embassy in London, which they described as a center for espionage and terrorist activities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1442\" data-end=\"1737\">Members of the Iranian diaspora in Manchester echoed these calls, urging international legal action against Iran\u2019s leaders for crimes against humanity. The academics further demanded justice, tougher sanctions on the regime, and formal recognition of the Iranian people\u2019s right to self-defense.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Manchester Exhibition
