At the third session of the Free Iran World Summit 2025<\/a> in Rome, Senator Giulio Terzi\u2014former Italian Foreign Minister and current President of the Senate\u2019s 4th Permanent Commission on EU Affairs\u2014delivered a powerful show of solidarity with the Iranian Resistance<\/a> and its President-elect Maryam Rajavi<\/a>. Speaking to attendees in Rome and supporters connected from Ashraf 3, he denounced Iran\u2019s clerical leadership as a \u201cterrorist state\u201d responsible for mass executions, including the 1988 massacre<\/a> of 30,000 members and supporters of the PMOI<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Senator Terzi condemned the recent executions of Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, warning that such atrocities continue despite global appeals. He cited Tehran\u2019s record of international terrorism, including the foiled 2018 bombing of the NCRI<\/a>\u2019s Villepinte gathering by an Iranian diplomat and the attack on former European Parliament Vice President Alejo Vidal-Quadras<\/a>. He urged that the IRGC<\/a> be officially designated as a terrorist group and that the regime face complete political and economic isolation.<\/p>\n

Acknowledging the NCRI\u2019s exposure of Iran\u2019s secret nuclear activities, Terzi endorsed Rajavi\u2019s \u201cThird Option<\/a>\u201d\u2014rejecting both monarchy and theocracy, as well as Western appeasement\u2014asserting that Iran\u2019s transformation must come from its own people. He concluded by presenting Rajavi with a parliamentary declaration of support signed by a majority of Italian MPs, joining over 4,000 lawmakers<\/a> worldwide backing Iran\u2019s democratic alternative.<\/p>\n
