Sheffield, UK \u2013 August 26, 2025 \u2013<\/strong> The Academics in Exile Association, supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>), held an exhibition and bookstall in Sheffield to condemn the Iranian regime\u2019s ongoing execution of political prisoners.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The event sought to raise awareness about the imminent threat facing five political prisoners<\/a> recently transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison, a notorious site for executions, placing their lives in grave danger.<\/p>\n

Demands of the event organizers:<\/p>\n

  1. \n

    The complete abolition of the death penalty in Iran.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    The immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    International recognition of the Iranian people\u2019s right to resist tyranny.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Participants also called on the UK government to designate Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist organization and to close the Iranian regime\u2019s embassy in London, describing it as a hub for espionage and terrorist activities.<\/p>\n
