Gothenburg, Sweden \u2013 August 30, 2025<\/strong>: Freedom-loving Iranians in Gothenburg gathered to commemorate the approaching 60th anniversary of the founding of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a>. They honored the memory of the organization\u2019s founders and martyrs who gave their lives in the struggle for freedom, democracy, and justice in Iran.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\" rel=\"\">MEK<\/a> supporters in Gothenburg also presented a moving spoken-word performance accompanied by music and visuals to celebrate the organization\u2019s 60th anniversary. The performance traced the history of the MEK from its inception to the present day, highlighting key milestones and honoring the organization\u2019s founders and pioneering martyrs\u2014from those who stood up to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shah<\/a>\u2019s dictatorship to those who fought and fell in the battle against the clerical regime. It paid tribute to the 30,000 political prisoners <a href=\"https:\/\/iran1988.org\/1988-massacre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">massacred in 1988<\/a> on Khomeini\u2019s orders, as well as the countless martyrs who have since sacrificed their lives in the struggle against the mullahs\u2019 tyranny.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Gothenburg marks PMOI's 60th anniversary, honoring martyrs &
