Brussels Free Iran Rally \u2013 September 6, 2025<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
On September 6, 2025, Brussels witnessed an extraordinary demonstration as tens of thousands of Iranians and international supporters gathered at Atomium Square. Organized by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>) and more than 300 Iranian communities worldwide, the rally marked the 60th anniversary of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>), the principal opposition to Iran\u2019s theocratic regime. Participants called for a secular, democratic, and non-nuclear Iran, while demanding firm international action against the clerical dictatorship.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The event featured keynote addresses by Mrs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/national-council-of-resistance-of-iran\/\" rel=\"\">NCRI<\/a>\u2019s President-elect, alongside a distinguished roster of global dignitaries, including <strong>former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence<\/strong>, former Belgian Prime Minister <strong>Guy Verhofstadt<\/strong>, former Speaker of the UK Parliament <strong>John Bercow<\/strong>, Belgian MEP <strong>Kris Van Dijck<\/strong>, former U.S. Congressman <strong>Patrick Kennedy<\/strong>, and former European Parliament Vice President <strong>Alejo Vidal-Quadras<\/strong>. We seek only freedom and the transfer of sovereignty to the people of Iran.\u201d She stressed that there <em>is<\/em> an alternative \u2014 \u201cwell-organized, fully prepared, and perfectly qualified.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Rajavi reaffirmed the NCRI\u2019s vision for a free Iran: a democratic republic, gender equality, separation of religion and state, abolition of the death penalty, and adherence to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Highlighting women\u2019s leadership as the backbone of the struggle, she called it \u201ca new model for equality and the foundation for the Iran of tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She urged the international community to blacklist the <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\" rel=\"\">IRGC<\/a> as a terrorist organization, enforce UN resolutions on the regime\u2019s nuclear ambitions, and support the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Resistance Units<\/a> inside Iran.
