Gothenburg, Sweden \u2013 September 9, 2025: <\/strong>Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) gathered in Gothenburg to mark the 50th consecutive week of local participation in the global \u201c No to Execution Tuesdays<\/a>\u201d campaign. The movement protests the Iranian regime\u2019s escalating wave of executions and systematic repression.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"234\" data-end=\"272\">This week\u2019s rally marked the <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2025\/09\/week-85-of-the-no-to-execution-tuesdays-campaign-in-52-prisons-across-iran\/78228\/\" rel=\"\">85th consecutive week<\/a> of protests by political prisoners across Iran. With the addition of prisoners from Sabzevar Prison, the campaign has now expanded to 52 prisons, reflecting a growing resistance movement and underscoring the urgent need for international attention and action.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1159\" data-end=\"1370\">Demonstrators strongly denounced the Iranian regime\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2025\/08\/five-iranian-political-prisoners-at-imminent-risk-of-execution-after-transfer-to-ghezel-hesar\/77204\/\" rel=\"\">increasing use of the death penalty<\/a>, calling for the immediate annulment of all death sentences and the <strong>unconditional release of political prisoners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"1916\">Freedom-loving Iranians in Gothenburg expressed support for Mrs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCRI<\/a>), and her call to expand the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/campaign-of-no-to-executions-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No to Executions<\/a>\u201d campaign globally.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Gothenburg: Rally Against Executions in Iran, Marking 85th Week of "No to Execution Tuesdays"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/p3jn7GJn_bM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1918\" data-end=\"2237\">The protesters demanded that the regime\u2019s leaders be prosecuted for crimes against humanity in an international tribunal. They also urged the Swedish government to end its policy of appeasement toward Tehran and to formally designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\" rel=\"\">IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2239\" data-end=\"2566\">Finally, the demonstrators reaffirmed the Iranian people\u2019s call for a democratic republic, rejecting both religious dictatorship and any return to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monarchy<\/a>. They stressed the importance of recognizing the Iranian Resistance and supporting the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a>\u00a0inside Iran in their fight for freedom and justice.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2239\" data-end=\"2566\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-78263\"
