Gothenburg, Sweden \u2013 September 23, 2025:<\/strong> Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) gathered in Gothenburg to mark the 52nd consecutive week of local participation in the global \u201cNo to Execution Tuesdays\u201d<\/a> campaign. The movement protests the Iranian regime\u2019s escalating wave of executions and systematic repression.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"754\" data-end=\"803\">Weekly Rally Against Executions in Gothenburg<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"805\" data-end=\"1180\">This week\u2019s rally marked the <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2025\/09\/the-87th-week-of-no-to-execution-tuesdays-voices-rising-from-52-prisons-across-iran\/78808\/\" rel=\"\">87th consecutive week<\/a> of protests by political prisoners in 52 prisons across Iran, reflecting a growing resistance movement and underscoring the urgent need for international attention and action.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1448\">Demonstrators strongly denounced the Iranian regime\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2025\/08\/five-iranian-political-prisoners-at-imminent-risk-of-execution-after-transfer-to-ghezel-hesar\/77204\/\" rel=\"\">increasing use of the death penalty<\/a>, calling for the immediate annulment of all death sentences and the unconditional release of political prisoners.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Marking 87th Weeks of \u201cNo to Execution Tuesdays\u201d in Gothenburg - Video 2\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0oCrg4Iy1k8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1450\" data-end=\"1507\">Global Call to Expand the \u201cNo to Executions\u201d Campaign<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1509\" data-end=\"1830\">Freedom-loving Iranians in Gothenburg expressed support for <a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1569\" data-end=\"1634\">Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1659\" data-end=\"1764\">NCRI<\/a>), and her call to expand the \u201cNo to Executions\u201d campaign globally.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1832\" data-end=\"1890\">Denouncing Repression and Defending Women\u2019s Resistance<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1832\" data-end=\"1890\">Protesters at the anniversary of the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iran-protests-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2022 nationwide uprising<\/a> also denounced the regime\u2019s brutal repression of women under the pretext of enforcing the compulsory hijab. They celebrated the courageous resistance of Iranian women with the rallying cry: \u201cWoman, Resistance, Freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2120\" data-end=\"2176\">Demands for Justice and International Accountability<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2178\" data-end=\"2598\">The protesters demanded that the regime\u2019s leaders be prosecuted for crimes against humanity in an international tribunal. They also urged the Swedish government to end its policy of appeasement toward Tehran and to formally designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"2416\" data-end=\"2569\">IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2600\" data-end=\"2673\">Vision for a Democratic Republic and Support for MEK Resistance Units<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2675\" data-end=\"2990\">Finally, the demonstrators reaffirmed the Iranian people\u2019s call for a democratic republic, rejecting both religious dictatorship and any return to monarchy. They stressed the importance of recognizing the Iranian Resistance and supporting the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK
