A Call for Democratic Change in Iran<\/h3>\n
Berlin, 25 September 2025<\/strong> \u2014 At a high-profile conference titled \u201cIran: Reign of Terror, Popular Uprisings, and the Role of Europe\u201d<\/em>, German parliamentarians, former diplomats, and Iranian opposition leaders united in urging Europe to align its policies with the Iranian people\u2019s democratic aspirations. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>), alongside prominent European speakers, called for sanctions, political pressure, and recognition of the NCRI\u2019s Ten-Point Plan<\/a> as a framework for democratic transition.<\/p>\n
The event came in the wake of major rallies\u2014tens of thousands in Brussels marking the 60th anniversary of the PMOI\/MEK<\/a> and another in New York\u2014amplifying the slogan: *\u201cNo to Shah, no to mullahs\u2014yes to a democratic republic.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n*
