On September 30, 2022, Iranian security forces fired on unarmed protesters in Zahedan, killing at least 82 people amid demonstrations sparked by a policeman\u2019s rape of a young girl\u2014an event tied to the 2022 Nationwide Uprising<\/a>, triggered weeks earlier by the custody death of Mahsa Amini<\/a>, which mobilized millions against the regime\u2019s oppressive rule.\u00a0Despite intensified repression since then, the PMOI Resistance Units<\/a> turned this anniversary into a bold act of defiance.<\/p>\n
