Weekly Rally Against Executions in Gothenburg<\/h3>\n
Gothenburg, Sweden \u2013 October 7, 2025 \u2013<\/strong> Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) gathered in Gothenburg to mark the 54th consecutive week of local participation in the global \u201cNo to Execution Tuesdays\u201d<\/a>\u00a0campaign. The movement protests the Iranian regime\u2019s escalating wave of executions and systematic repression.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"710\" data-end=\"938\">This week\u2019s rally marked the <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2025\/10\/irans-89th-no-to-execution-tuesdays-marks-hunger-strikes-in-52-prisons\/79285\/\" rel=\"\">89th consecutive week <\/a>of protests by political prisoners in 52 prisons across Iran, reflecting a growing resistance movement and underscoring the urgent need for international attention and action.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"1367\">Participants strongly condemned the Iranian regime\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2025\/08\/five-iranian-political-prisoners-at-imminent-risk-of-execution-after-transfer-to-ghezel-hesar\/77204\/\" rel=\"\">increasing use of the death penalty<\/a>, calling for the immediate annulment of all death sentences and the unconditional release of political prisoners. Iranians in Gothenburg also demanded the cancellation of death sentences issued against political prisoners, including <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/human-rights\/2025\/10\/iran-regime-upholds-death-sentence-for-pmoi-supporter-mohammad-javad-vafaei-sani\/79264\/\" rel=\"\">Mohammad Javad Vafaei-Sani<\/a>, whose death sentence was recently upheld by the regime\u2019s Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"1367\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-79319\" src=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Gothenburg-Oct-7-pic-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"434\" onerror=\"this.src='https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/themes\/hello-elementor\/images\/broken-image-placeholder.gif';this.srcset='https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/themes\/hello-elementor\/images\/broken-image-placeholder.gif';\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Gothenburg-Oct-7-pic-6.jpg 750w, https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Gothenburg-Oct-7-pic-6-300x174.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1369\" data-end=\"1428\">Global Call to Expand the \u201cNo to Executions\u201d Campaign<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1429\" data-end=\"1659\">Freedom-loving Iranians in Gothenburg expressed their support for Mrs. <a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1569\" data-end=\"1634\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1659\" data-end=\"1764\">NCRI<\/a>), and her call to expand the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/campaign-of-no-to-executions-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No to Executions<\/a>\u201d campaign globally.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2008\" data-end=\"2066\">Demands for Justice and International Accountability<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2067\" data-end=\"2380\">Protesters called for the prosecution of the regime\u2019s leaders for crimes against humanity in an international tribunal. They also urged the Swedish government to end its policy of appeasement toward Tehran and to officially designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (<a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"2416\" data-end=\"2569\">IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2382\" data-end=\"2457\">Vision for a Democratic Republic and Support for MEK Resistance Units<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2458\" data-end=\"2794\">Finally, the demonstrators reaffirmed the Iranian people\u2019s call for a democratic republic, rejecting both religious dictatorship and any return to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monarchy<\/a>. They highlighted the importance of recognizing the Iranian Resistance and supporting the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a>\u00a0inside Iran in their ongoing fight for freedom and justice.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2458\" data-end=\"2794\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full
