Marking the World Day Against the Death Penalty<\/h3>\n
On October 10, 2025, supporters of the Iranian Resistance<\/a> gathered in Brussels<\/strong> to protest executions in Iran. The event, held at **Schuman Roundabout<\/strong>, coincided with the** World Day Against the Death Penalty<\/a>.
It called for urgent international action to stop the regime\u2019s systematic use of executions as a political weapon.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"872\" data-end=\"913\">Condemning State-Sponsored Killings<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"915\" data-end=\"1282\">Participants strongly condemned the Iranian regime\u2019s brutality. They stressed that many innocent people, especially <strong data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1054\">political prisoners<\/strong>, have lost their lives through <a href=\"https:\/\/iran-hrm.com\/2025\/10\/08\/executions-in-iran-a-deadly-record-in-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">state-sanctioned killings<\/a>.<br data-start=\"1112\" data-end=\"1115\">At least <strong data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1150\">17 political prisoners<\/strong> are now on death row under false charges. These cases show clear signs of torture and serious violations of fair trial standards.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1484\">Moreover, the demonstrators emphasized that true change in Iran can only come through <strong data-start=\"1370\" data-end=\"1391\">steady resistance<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1396\" data-end=\"1415\">global pressure<\/strong>. Their voices made it clear that silence only empowers oppression.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1486\" data-end=\"1530\">Support for Maryam Rajavi and the NCRI<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1916\">Freedom-loving Iranians in Brussels also expressed their full support for <strong data-start=\"1606\" data-end=\"1628\">Mrs. <a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1569\" data-end=\"1634\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a><\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1634\" data-end=\"1706\">President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1659\" data-end=\"1764\">NCRI<\/a>)<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"1707\" data-end=\"1710\">They echoed her call to expand the <strong data-start=\"1745\" data-end=\"1767\">\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/campaign-of-no-to-executions-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No to Executions<\/a>\u201d<\/strong> campaign worldwide. In addition, they urged the international community to stand with the Iranian people\u2019s movement for <strong data-start=\"1888\" data-end=\"1913\">freedom and democracy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1918\" data-end=\"1950\">Key Demands of the Protest<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1952\" data-end=\"2002\">The demonstrators raised several urgent demands:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2004\" data-end=\"2586\">\n<li data-start=\"2004\" data-end=\"2118\">\n<p data-start=\"2006\" data-end=\"2118\"><strong data-start=\"2006\" data-end=\"2051\">Immediate halt to all executions in Iran.<\/strong> The regime must stop using the death penalty to silence dissent.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2119\" data-end=\"2217\">\n<p data-start=\"2121\" data-end=\"2217\"><strong data-start=\"2121\" data-end=\"2160\">Release of all political prisoners.<\/strong> Thousands remain unjustly jailed for opposing tyranny.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2218\" data-end=\"2337\">\n<p data-start=\"2220\" data-end=\"2337\"><strong data-start=\"2220\" data-end=\"2263\">Accountability for human rights abuses.<\/strong> Global institutions should investigate and prosecute those responsible.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2338\" data-end=\"2461\">\n<p data-start=\"2340\" data-end=\"2461\"><strong data-start=\"2340\" data-end=\"2383\">Closure of Iranian embassies worldwide.<\/strong> Diplomatic ties should be suspended until the regime respects human rights.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2462\" data-end=\"2586\">\n<p data-start=\"2464\" data-end=\"2586\"><strong data-start=\"2464\" data-end=\"2493\">Blacklisting of the <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2023\/04\/irans-regime-irgc-a-state-sponsored-terrorist-organization\/44858\/\" rel=\"\">IRGC<\/a>.<\/strong> The <strong data-start=\"2498\" data-end=\"2535\">Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps<\/strong> must face international sanctions and isolation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2588\" data-end=\"2735\">Furthermore, the crowd urged world leaders to recognize that the regime\u2019s violence is not just internal. It threatens global peace and stability.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2737\" data-end=\"2775\">A Call for a Democratic Republic<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2777\" data-end=\"3180\">The protesters reaffirmed the <strong data-start=\"2807\" data-end=\"2860\">Iranian people\u2019s demand for a democratic republic<\/strong>. They firmly rejected both the current religious dictatorship and any return to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monarchy<\/a>.<br data-start=\"2950\" data-end=\"2953\">They highlighted the importance of recognizing the <strong data-start=\"3004\" data-end=\"3026\">Iranian Resistance<\/strong> and supporting the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a>\u00a0inside Iran. These brave men and women continue to risk their lives for <strong data-start=\"3143\" data-end=\"3177\">freedom, justice, and equality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"3182\" data-end=\"3232\">The Unbreakable Spirit of the Iranian People<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3234\" data-end=\"3488\">Finally, the rally in Brussels showed the world the <strong data-start=\"3286\" data-end=\"3308\">unbreakable spirit<\/strong> of Iranians and their <strong data-start=\"3331\" data-end=\"3355\">organized Resistance<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"3356\" data-end=\"3359\">As a result, the message was clear: only through unity, courage, and international solidarity can Iran achieve lasting freedom.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3174\" data-end=\"3470\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full
