Iran \u2013 October 28, 2025: 54 Prisons Join 92nd Week of \u2018No to Execution Tuesdays\u2019<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Tuesday, October 28, 2025 \u2013<\/strong> In the 92nd week<\/a> of Iran\u2019s \u201cNo to Execution Tuesdays<\/a>\u201d campaign, the movement has expanded to 54 prisons, as inmates from Borujerd<\/strong> and Ilam<\/strong> joined the nationwide protest against the death penalty.<\/p>\n

According to the Human Rights Center of Iran, political prisoners across the country continued their weekly hunger strike on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, defying the regime\u2019s execution wave. October has been marked as the bloodiest month in decades, with at least 283 executions, including 7 political prisoners, 7 women, and 2 minors.<\/p>\n

\n

New Death Sentences and Widespread Executions<\/h3>\n

This week\u2019s campaign statement condemned the confirmation of death sentences for Manouchehr Fallah<\/a> and Ehsan Faridi<\/a>, along with new death verdicts for Kavous Abdollahzadeh and Zahra Tabari<\/a>. It described these rulings as a \u201cdeliberate attempt to spread fear and suppress the Iranian people\u2019s cry for freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since last Tuesday alone, 59 executions have been recorded, including those of two women. Authorities also attempted to transfer Ehsan Afrafteh from Evin Prison for execution, but fellow inmates resisted, preventing the move for now. His life remains in imminent danger.<\/p>\n

Families and Prisoners Unite Against the Regime\u2019s Killing Machine<\/h3>\n

Despite the regime\u2019s escalating brutality, resistance continues to grow inside the prisons. Families of those on death row rallied this week in front of the Iranian Parliament, chanting \u201cNo to Execution\u201d<\/em>, reaffirming that the Iranian people\u2019s desire for freedom and justice cannot be silenced.<\/p>\n

\u201cExecution is a criminal tool of tyranny. No justification\u2014religious or political\u2014can legitimize the deprivation of human life. Each execution is a wound on society and a symbol of the regime\u2019s moral and legal bankruptcy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Campaign Expands to 54 Prisons Nationwide<\/h3>\n

The \u201cNo to Execution Tuesdays\u201d<\/strong><\/em> campaign, now in its 92nd consecutive week, continues across 54 prisons including Evin, Ghezel Hesar, Central Karaj, Greater Tehran, Qarchak, Qom, Shiraz, Ahvaz, Rasht, Tabriz, Urmia, Sanandaj, Mahabad, Kamyaran, Borujerd<\/strong>, and Ilam<\/strong> \u2014 amplifying the cry for life and justice from behind bars.<\/p>\n
