On Friday, December 26, 2025, MEK<\/a>\u00a0Resistance Unit<\/a> in Zahedan, the capital of Iran\u2019s Sistan and Baluchestan Province, carried out defiant activities against all forms of dictatorship ruling Iran. Rallying under the central slogan, \u201cThe time has come to end all forms of dictatorship\u2014whether religious or monarchical<\/a>,\u201d<\/em> the Resistance Units<\/a> displayed placards and chanted slogans rejecting both the Shah<\/a>\u2019s regime and the clerical<\/a> dictatorship, reaffirming their commitment to overthrow, freedom, and a democratic future for Iran.<\/p>\n

Commemorating the 2009 Ashura and 2017 Nationwide Uprisings<\/h3>\n

The Resistance Units marked the anniversary of 6 Dey (December 27), 2009<\/strong><\/a>, the Ashura uprising in Tehran, under the slogan:
\u201cLong live 6 Dey, the anniversary of the Ashura 2009 uprising in Tehran,\u201d<\/em>
while chanting slogans against the ruling clerical regime.<\/p>\n

They also honored December 28<\/strong>, the anniversary of the December 2017\u2013January 2018 nationwide uprising<\/strong><\/a>, described as \u201cthe revolutionary uprising of a nation in chains to overthrow tyranny and put an end to the illusion of reform from within the regime.\u201d<\/em>
Activists emphasized that these uprisings shook the foundations of Iran\u2019s ruling system and exposed the impossibility of reform under dictatorship.<\/p>\n

\u201cNeither Shah nor Sheikh\u201d: A Clear Rejection of Dictatorship<\/h3>\n

Placards and slogans highlighted the Iranian people\u2019s rejection of all forms of authoritarian rule, echoing the long-standing slogan \u201cNeither Shah nor Sheikh.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Massoud Rajavi<\/a> stated:
\u201cThe brave youth of Tabriz and Urmia shouted the verdict of the downfall of the remnants of dictatorship in the stadium\u2014\u2018Neither Shah nor Sheikh.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

He further warned that history would not repeat itself, stressing:
\u201cAnyone who thinks they can hijack Iran\u2019s democratic revolution\u2014as was done with the Constitutional Revolution or the anti-monarchical revolution\u2014and drown it in blood is gravely mistaken.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Commitment to Democratic Revolution and Freedom<\/h3>\n

Maryam Rajavi<\/a> underscored that genuine change in Iran requires sacrifice and popular resolve, stating:
\u201cToppling the regime of Velayat-e Faqih (absolute religious rule) is only possible through the struggle and determination of the Iranian people and by paying the price for it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

She added:
\u201cThere is only one destination ahead of us\u2014victory; and only one path before us\u2014the democratic revolution.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Reaffirming the people\u2019s demand for freedom and independence, Maryam Rajavi concluded:
\u201cToday, the people of Iran reject all forms of dictatorship and declare: \u2018Neither Shah<\/a> nor Sheikh<\/a>.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
