Iranians in Ottawa and Toronto support Iran\u2019s nationwide uprising and stand united for freedom and democracy in Iran \u2014 January 3, 2026.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Ottawa and Toronto, Canada \u2014 January 3, 2026 \u2014<\/strong> In solidarity with the nationwide uprising in Iran<\/a> and its brave protesters, freedom-loving Iranians, supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a>), held rallies in Ottawa and Toronto. Participants braved snowy, sub-zero temperatures and chanted anti-regime slogans to express their support for compatriots who have risen up inside Iran.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Demonstrators called for the establishment of a free and democratic republic in Iran, rejecting all forms of autocracy\u2014whether\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">monarchical<\/span><\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">theocratic<\/span><\/a>.
