Freedom-loving Iranians brave subzero temperatures in Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver to rally for Iran\u2019s uprising, holding martyrs\u2019 photos and anti-dictatorship banners.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver, Canada \u2014 January 10, 2026<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Once again, despite freezing and subzero temperatures, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a>) in Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver held rallies in solidarity with the\u00a0 nationwide uprising in Iran<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and its brave protesters. Participants held pictures of the martyrs of the ongoing nationwide protests and chanted anti-regime slogans to express their support for compatriots who have risen up inside Iran.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Demonstrators called for the establishment of a free and democratic republic in Iran, rejecting all forms of autocracy\u2014whether\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">monarchical<\/span><\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">theocratic<\/span><\/a>. They carried banners echoing the demands of protesters inside the country, including \u201cRegime change in Iran by the people of Iran\u201d and \u201cNo to the\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">Shah<\/span><\/a>! No to the\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">Mullahs<\/span><\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">The rallies also highlighted the plight of protesters in Iran, where the regime has resorted to internet shutdowns, hospital raids, and widespread repression to silence dissent. Thousands of victims have been identified despite a severe media blackout.
