Iranians in Vancouver rally for the Iran Uprising, honoring martyrs and calling for a free, democratic republic.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Vancouver, Canada \u2014 January 17, 2026<\/strong> \u2014 Once again, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a>) in Vancouver held a rally in solidarity with the nationwide uprising in Iran<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and its brave protesters. Participants held pictures of the martyrs of the ongoing nationwide protests and chanted anti-regime slogans to express their support for compatriots who have risen up inside Iran.<\/p>\n
During the gathering, participants sang revolutionary anthems and pledged to continue the path of the uprising\u2019s martyrs until the overthrow of the mullahs\u2019 dictatorial regime in Iran.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Demonstrators called for the establishment of a free and democratic republic in Iran, rejecting all forms of autocracy\u2014whether\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">monarchical<\/span><\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\" rel=\"\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">theocratic<\/span><\/a>. They carried banners echoing the demands of protesters inside the country, including \u201cRegime change in Iran by the people of Iran\u201d and \u201cNo to the\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">Shah<\/span><\/a>! No to the\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\" rel=\"\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">Mullahs<\/span><\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">The rally also highlighted the plight of protesters in Iran, where the regime has resorted to internet shutdowns, hospital raids, and widespread repression to silence dissent. Despite a severe media blackout, thousands of victims have been identified. Participants in Vancouver urged that the voices of Iranian protesters be heard, calling on the international community to deny the regime any sources of revenue and to recognize the Iranian people\u2019s right to a free, democratic republic.<\/p>\n<p>The Vancouver rally sent a powerful message to the international community to stand with the people of Iran\u2014not with any form of dictatorship\u2014and to support their ongoing struggle for freedom, justice, and democracy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-83127\"
