MEK supporters in Toronto stand in solidarity with Iran\u2019s uprising, calling for a democratic republic.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Toronto, Canada \u2014 January 17, 2026<\/strong> \u2014 Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a>) in Toronto held a rally in solidarity with the nationwide uprising<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in Iran<\/span>\u00a0and its brave protesters. Participants held pictures of the martyrs of the ongoing nationwide protests and chanted anti-regime slogans to express their support for compatriots who have risen up inside Iran.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"mb-2 mt-4 font-sans font-semimedium text-base first:mt-0\">Condemning Dictatorship in All Forms<\/h3>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">The demonstrators called for the establishment of a free and democratic republic, rejecting both\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">monarchical<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\" rel=\"\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">theocratic<\/span><\/a>\u00a0forms of dictatorship.<br>\nThey carried images of the martyrs of the uprising and banners echoing the demands of protesters inside Iran, with slogans such as \u201cRegime change in Iran by the people of Iran\u201d and \u201cNo to the\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">Shah<\/span><\/a>!
