Dallas, Texas \u2014 February 8, 2026 \u2014<\/strong> Members of the Iranian American Community of Northern Texas<\/a> gathered to commemorate the anniversary of the Iranian people\u2019s anti-monarchy revolution of 1979<\/a> and to express solidarity with the nationwide uprising<\/span><\/a> of the Iranian people. The event honored the historic struggle for freedom while highlighting ongoing demands for fundamental political change in Iran.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"955\">Participants chanted anti-regime slogans and carried images of victims and martyrs, underscoring both the legacy of the 1979 revolution and the continuing resistance against authoritarian rule. Demonstrators emphasized the enduring calls for independence, freedom, and popular sovereignty that connect past and present movements.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"957\" data-end=\"1343\">Speakers noted that the anniversary serves as a reminder of the Iranian people\u2019s long-standing rejection of dictatorship in all its forms\u2014<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">monarchical<\/span><\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/articles\/2020\/10\/who-is-ali-khamenei-iranian-regime-supreme-leader\/19254\/\" rel=\"\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">theocratic<\/span><\/a>\u2014and their aspiration for a free and democratic republic. Banners reflected these themes, including \u201cIndependence, Freedom, Republic,\u201d \u201cRegime change in Iran by the people of Iran,\u201d and \u201cNo to the <a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">Shah<\/span><\/a>! No to the <a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" data-start=\"1345\" data-end=\"1633\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Organizers stated: \u201cOn the anniversary of the 1979 anti-monarchy revolution, our community gathered both to honor that historic struggle and to stand in solidarity with the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people, supporting their pursuit of freedom, democracy, and
