Congressional Briefing Highlights Support for Iran\u2019s Democratic Future<\/span><\/h2>\n

On March 26, 2026, the Organization of Iranian American Communities (OIAC) held a congressional briefing focused on Iran\u2019s democratic transition and the announcement of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>) Provisional Government<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lawmakers from both parties, alongside NCRI President-elect\u00a0Maryam Rajavi<\/span><\/span><\/a>, emphasized that Iran\u2019s future must be determined by its people.<\/p>\n

Participants expressed strong support for House Resolution 166<\/a> and the NCRI\u2019s Ten-Point Plan<\/a>, calling for a democratic, secular, and non-nuclear republic. Speakers underscored the importance of free elections, self-determination, and backing the Iranian people.<\/p>\n

Several members of Congress endorsed \u201corganized resistance\u201d and reiterated a policy of \u201cno war, no appeasement,\u201d while clearly rejecting any return to monarchy and stressing that the path forward lies in \u201cthe ballot box.\u201d<\/p>\n
