Global Outcry Over Execution of PMOI Members<\/h3>\n

April 3, 2026 \u2013<\/strong> A wave of international condemnation has erupted following the execution of four political prisoners affiliated with the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a>)\u2014Mohammad Taghavi, Akbar Daneshvarkar, Babak Alipour, <\/strong>and Pouya Ghobadi<\/strong><\/a>\u2014who were executed on March 30 and 31 in Ghezel Hesar Prison after what sources described as unfair trials, torture, and forced confessions.<\/p>\n

Governments, lawmakers, human rights organizations, and political groups across the world have strongly denounced the executions, calling them arbitrary and demanding urgent international action to halt further killings.<\/p>\n

Condemnations by Iranian Opposition and Political Groups<\/h3>\n

Numerous Iranian opposition parties and organizations condemned the executions, describing them as crimes against humanity and part of a broader pattern of systematic repression.<\/p>\n

The Left Party of Iran<\/strong> denounced the executions as a continuation of decades-long human rights violations and described the death penalty as a tool of political terror. The Baluchestan People\u2019s Party<\/strong> and Baluchestan Ajoyi Zarmbesh<\/strong> condemned the killings as \u201csavage,\u201d warning that those responsible would be held accountable.<\/p>\n

Kurdish political organizations\u2014including the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan<\/strong>, Komala Zahmatkeshan Kurdistan<\/strong>, PJAK<\/strong>, the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK)<\/strong>, and the Union of Revolutionaries of Kurdistan<\/strong>, along with the YariKord Organization<\/strong>\u2014issued joint statements condemning the executions and calling for their immediate halt.<\/p>\n

Other groups, including Comprehensive Solidarity for Freedom and Equality in Iran and the Organization Khebat of Kurdistan Iran<\/strong>, also strongly condemned the executions, linking them to the regime\u2019s fear of popular uprisings.<\/p>\n
