March 30 \u2013 April 5, 2026 \u2014<\/strong> Supporters of the Iranian Resistance organized a coordinated series of rallies and demonstrations across major cities in the United States, Canada, and Europe to protest the execution of six political prisoners affiliated with the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the United States, protests took place in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Berkeley (California), and Los Angeles. In Canada, demonstrators gathered in Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Montreal. Similar rallies were held in key European cities, including Paris, Rome, Berlin, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Oslo, London, Geneva, Munich, and Hamburg. Several of these gatherings were organized in front of Iranian embassies and consulates, highlighting the protesters\u2019 opposition to the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n

The executed political prisoners were Mohammad Taghavi, Akbar Daneshvar Kar, Babak Alipour, Pouya Ghobadi<\/a>,\u00a0Vahid Bani-Amerian,\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0Abolhassan Montazer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Participants strongly condemned the Iranian regime, describing the executions as a flagrant violation of human rights. Demonstrators called for regime change and urged the United States, Canada, and European governments to adopt a more decisive and firm policy toward the Iranian regime. They also stressed the need for international accountability to address the regime\u2019s ongoing repression and systematic abuses.<\/p>\n

Call for International Support<\/h3>\n

Organizers emphasized that the Iranian people reject all forms of dictatorship\u2014whether monarchical<\/span><\/a> or theocratic\u2014and called on the international community to recognize and support this demand. Through speeches, chants, and expressions of solidarity, protesters urged global leaders to stand with the Iranian people in their pursuit of freedom, democracy, and human rights.<\/p>\n
