Weekly Rally Against Executions in Gothenburg<\/h3>\n

Gothenburg, Sweden \u2014 <\/strong>Last week on April 7, 2026, supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a>) held a rally marking the 115th consecutive week<\/a> of the \u201cNo to Execution Tuesdays<\/span><\/a>\u201d campaign, a movement protesting the Iranian regime\u2019s escalating wave of executions and ongoing systematic repression.<\/p>\n

Participants warned of intensifying repression, a surge in executions, and a nationwide internet blackout. In a major escalation, six longstanding campaign members\u2014Vahid Bani Amerian, Mohammad Taghavi, Babak Alipour, Pouya Ghobadi, Abolhassan Montazer,<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Akbar Daneshvarkar<\/a>\u2014were executed this week; all were among the earliest and most committed participants in the weekly Tuesday hunger strikes.<\/p>\n
