Lawmakers and experts at Westminster urge decisive action against Iran\u2019s execution surge and endorse Maryam Rajavi\u2019s Ten-Point Plan as the path to a democratic future<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n
A High-Level Gathering at Westminster<\/h3>\n
On April 28, 2026, the Palace of Westminster<\/span><\/span> hosted a major conference titled \u201cIran: Towards Peace and Freedom.\u201d<\/em> The event brought together British parliamentarians, legal experts, and human rights advocates to confront the Iranian regime\u2019s escalating use of executions and repression.<\/p>\n
Participants warned that the judiciary\u2019s recently adopted \u201cwartime position\u201d has triggered a sharp rise in political executions. The conference called on the international community to move beyond silence and actively support organized resistance inside Iran. Central to the discussion was the National Council of Resistance of Iran<\/span><\/span> (NCRI) and its Ten-Point Plan, widely endorsed as a viable roadmap for a democratic, non-nuclear republic.<\/p>\n
Speakers also firmly rejected any return to monarchy, describing the Pahlavi alternative as a \u201cfake\u201d solution lacking legitimacy among Iranians.<\/p>\n
Maryam Rajavi Warns of Escalating Repression<\/h3>\n
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/span><\/span>, President-elect of the NCRI, delivered the keynote address via video link, warning that the Iranian people are \u201cpaying the price of silence\u201d in the face of intensifying repression.<\/p>\n
She described a campaign of executions targeting political prisoners and members of the PMOI since March.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe regime is obviously concerned about future uprisings,\u201d Mrs. Rajavi stated. \u201cThrough these brutal executions, the regime seeks to terrorize young people and to prevent them from joining the Resistance Units that play a decisive role in organizing and expanding the uprising.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
She emphasized that regime change must come from within:<\/p>\n

\u201cwill be carried out by the people and their organized resistance,\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Rajavi urged the UK government to recognize the NCRI\u2019s provisional government and proscribe the IRGC, concluding that \u201cneither Shah nor the mullahs\u201d reflects the Iranian people\u2019s aspirations.<\/p>\n
