Weekly Rally Against Executions in Gothenburg<\/h3>\n

Gothenburg, Sweden \u2014 May 5, 2026:<\/strong> Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a>) held a rally to mark the 119th consecutive week<\/a> of the\u00a0\u201cNo to Execution Tuesdays<\/span><\/a>\u201d campaign, a movement protesting the Iranian regime\u2019s escalating executions and systemic repression.<\/p>\n

Protesters condemned the recent execution of political prisoners and demonstrators arrested during the January 2026 uprising. On May 3, 2026, 28-year-old Mehrab Abdollahzadeh<\/strong>, a Kurdish protester, was executed in Urmia<\/strong> Prison by agents of the mullahs\u2019 regime. The following day, May 4, three protesters in Mashhad<\/strong>\u2014Mehdi Rasouli, Mohammad Reza Miri, <\/strong>and Ebrahim Dolatabadi<\/strong>\u2014were also executed.<\/p>\n

Participants also highlighted the regime\u2019s intensifying crackdown, the rising number of executions, and broader repressive measures, including nationwide internet shutdowns. They chanted slogans such as \u201cDown with the executioner regime\u201d<\/strong> and called for the immediate release of all political prisoners<\/strong>, underscoring growing anger over the authorities\u2019 actions.<\/p>\n
