Supporters of the PMOI rallied in Gothenburg against executions and for a democratic future in Iran.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Gothenburg, Sweden \u2014 May 9, 2026 \u2014<\/strong> Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a><\/span>) rallied to protest the execution of political prisoners in Iran, including\u00a0 PMOI<\/a>\u00a0members and protesters arrested during the January 2026 uprising.<\/p>\n
Protesters called on the Swedish government to take decisive action against the Iranian regime over its criminal executions and terrorist activities, including closing the regime\u2019s embassy in Stockholm, which they described as a center of espionage and terrorism. They also demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners in Iran.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"261\" data-end=\"813\">Participants rejected both the <span class=\"cf0\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shah<\/a><\/span>\u2019s rule and the current clerical regime, while voicing support for the <strong>democratic alternative<\/strong> put forward by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<span class=\"cf0\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCRI<\/a><\/span>). The rally also called for an <strong>immediate end to executions<\/strong> in Iran and reaffirmed opposition to all forms of dictatorship.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1659\">Speakers and participants expressed support for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/viewpoints\/plan-for-future-of-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ten-Point Plan<\/a> proposed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Maryam Rajavi<\/span><\/span><\/a>, describing it as a roadmap for a democratic Iran founded on pluralism, gender equality, separation of religion and state, and respect for human rights. The rally underscored the Iranian people\u2019s demand for a democratic republic, rejecting both the current theocratic regime and any return to <a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\"
