Iranian Resistance supporters honor PMOI founders and uprising martyrs outside the Iranian regime\u2019s embassy.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Oslo, Norway \u2013 May 23, 2026:<\/strong> Supporters of the\u00a0Iranian Resistance<\/span><\/a>\u00a0held a rally outside the Iranian regime\u2019s embassy to commemorate the anniversary of the execution of the founders of the\u00a0 PMOI<\/span><\/a>\u00a0by the Shah\u2019s regime on May 23, 1972. Demonstrators honored the sacrifice of the\u00a0 MEK\u2019s founders<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and reiterated the movement\u2019s enduring commitment to freedom, democracy, and a secular republic in Iran. They highlighted the MEK\u2019s pivotal role in resisting both dictatorships and defending the Iranian people\u2019s right to sovereignty and justice.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Freedom-loving Iranians also protested the executions of political prisoners, including\u00a0<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/peoples-mojahedin-pmoi-mek-iran\/\" rel=\"\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">PMOI<\/span><\/a>\u00a0members and individuals detained during the January 2026 uprising in Iran. They demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Participants paid tribute by honoring the images of the founders and central members of the PMOI who were executed on May 23, 1972, by the Shah\u2019s notorious SAVAK, as well as other martyrs of Iran\u2019s nationwide uprisings, laying flowers in their memory. They also called for the closure of the mullahs\u2019 regime embassy in Norway, describing it as a center for espionage and the export of terrorism.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Mr. Parviz Khazaei, the representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/national-council-of-resistance-of-iran\/\" rel=\"\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">NCRI<\/span><\/a>) in the Nordic countries, also participated in the rally.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Protesters also rejected all forms of dictatorship, whether<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0<span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">monarchical<\/span><\/a>\u00a0or theocratic, emphasizing their opposition to both the rule of the Shah and the current mullah-led regime. They voiced support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">NCRI<\/span><\/a>) as a democratic
