Weekly Rally Against Executions in Gothenburg<\/h3>\n
Gothenburg, Sweden \u2014 June 9, 2026:<\/strong> Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a>) held a rally to mark the 124th consecutive week<\/a> of the\u00a0\u201c No to Execution Tuesdays<\/span><\/a>\u201d campaign, a movement protesting the Iranian regime\u2019s escalating executions and systemic repression. Protesters condemned the recent execution of political prisoners and demonstrators arrested during the January 2026 uprising.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&+p]:mt-4 [&_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Participants also highlighted the regime\u2019s intensifying crackdown, the rising number of executions, and broader repressive measures, including nationwide internet shutdowns. They chanted slogans such as <strong>\u201cDown with the executioner regime\u201d<\/strong> and called for the <strong>immediate release of all political prisoners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Freedom-loving Iranians in Gothenburg expressed support for Mrs. <a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">Maryam Rajavi<\/span><\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCRI<\/a>), and her call to expand the \u201c<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/campaign-of-no-to-executions-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">No to Executions<\/span><\/a>\u201d campaign globally.<\/p>\n<h3>Political Prisoners Face Imminent Risk of Execution<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The event further raised alarm over the fate of four political prisoners in Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz. According to a statement by the \u201c<a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/tag\/no-to-execution-tuesdays\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">No to Execution Tuesdays<\/span><\/a>\u201d campaign, <strong>Farshad Etemadifar, Alireza Mardasi, Masoud Jamei, <\/strong>and <strong>Reza Abdali<\/strong> are at immediate risk of execution. Death sentences have reportedly been issued against political prisoners <strong>Yasin Shahbakhsh, Hassan Mosallawi, <\/strong>and <strong>Ali Kamali<\/strong>. In addition, MEK supporters in Gothenburg condemned the recent confirmation of the death sentence against political prisoner <strong>Yaghoub Derakhshan<\/strong>, who is currently held in Lakan Prison in Rasht.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2382\" data-end=\"2457\">Vision for a Democratic Republic and Support for MEK Resistance Units<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2458\" data-end=\"2794\">Finally, the demonstrators reaffirmed the Iranian people\u2019s call for a democratic republic, rejecting both religious dictatorship and any return to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monarchy<\/a>. They highlighted the importance of recognizing the Iranian Resistance and supporting the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/t\/iranian-resistance-units\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a> inside Iran in their ongoing fight for freedom and justice.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2458\" data-end=\"2794\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone
