PARIS \u2014 On June 21, 2026<\/strong>, prominent international political figures, legislators, and human rights defenders convened at the Free Iran Summit<\/a>, voicing strong support for the Iranian people\u2019s right to determine their own future and for the democratic alternative presented by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>). Commemorating the 45th anniversary of the nationwide democratic resistance against religious fascism, the summit\u2019s second day underscored the crucial role of the internal Resistance Units<\/a> and the PMOI in confronting the ruling theocracy. Set against the backdrop of a controversial and unjust last-minute restriction imposed by French authorities on a planned mass rally in Paris, distinguished participants collectively denounced Western appeasement, called for the full designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC<\/a>) as a terrorist entity, and firmly rejected any restoration of hereditary rule.
