Gothenburg, Sweden \u2014 June 27, 2026 \u2014<\/strong> Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a>) held a rally in Gothenburg, calling for the establishment of a free and democratic republic in Iran and expressing opposition to the ruling clerical regime. Participants chanted slogans demanding regime change and called for the closure of the Iranian regime\u2019s embassy in Sweden, condemning it as a center for terrorism and espionage.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The protesters rejected both the former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monarchy<\/a> and the current religious dictatorship, emphasizing that Iran\u2019s future should be shaped by a democratic alternative. They highlighted the importance of a political transition based on democratic principles and expressed support for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/viewpoints\/tomorrow-s-iran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ten-point plan<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCRI<\/a>), describing it as a roadmap for a transitional process and a democratic future.<\/p>\n<p>The demonstrators also voiced their support for the NCRI\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/iranfreedom.org\/en\/iranian-resistance\/2026\/02\/announcement-of-a-provisional-government-by-the-national-council-of-resistance-of-iran\/84244\/\" rel=\"\">Provisional
