Gothenburg, Sweden \u2014 July 4, 2026<\/strong> \u2014 Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a>) gathered in Gothenburg to call for the establishment of a free, democratic republic in Iran and to express their opposition to the country\u2019s ruling clerical regime.<\/p>\n

Participants rejected both the former monarchy<\/a> and the current religious dictatorship, asserting that Iran\u2019s future should be determined through a democratic alternative. They underscored the need for a political transition founded on democratic values and voiced support for the Ten-point plan<\/a> proposed by Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>), describing it as a framework for a peaceful transition and the establishment of a democratic republic.<\/p>\n
