\nThe event highlighted the decisive role of the Iranian people\u2019s organized resistance, firmly rejected both foreign military intervention and continued Western appeasement, and expressed strong support for a democratic, secular republic based on the **NCRI<\/a>\u2019s Ten-Point Plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n**

NCRI<\/a> President-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a> opened by recalling 48 years of crisis since the 1979 revolution was hijacked by Ruhollah Khomeini, listing the hostage crisis, the Iran-Iraq war, mass executions, nuclear ambitions, regional interventions and transnational terrorism, including the assassination of Mohammad Hossein Naqdi in Rome.<\/p>\n
\u201cWithout a doubt, the solution lies neither in clinging to the present status quo by preserving this regime, nor in retreating to the past by reviving the deposed dictatorship of the Shah.<\/p>\n
The true solution lies in looking forward to the establishment of a democratic republic.\u201d<\/p>\n
She stressed that both dictatorships reached historical dead-ends and that any form of dictatorship only perpetuates catastrophe. Mrs. Rajavi detailed the objective conditions for change: socioeconomic chasms, chronic poverty, collapsing regime pillars, internal fractures, and the organized nationwide resistance.<\/p>\n
A viable alternative, she said, must confront the IRGC<\/a>, remain independent of foreign powers, and consist of conscious youth willing to sacrifice. \u201cThe People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) and its Resistance Units, embodying these very traits and capabilities, represent the defining catalyst for change in Iran.\u201d She noted that despite repression the Units conducted 630 operations in January 2026 uprising and, on 23 February, 250 fighters struck Khamenei\u2019s headquarters in Tehran.<\/p>\n
