Supporters of the PMOI rally in Gothenburg to condemn executions in Iran and express support for a democratic republic.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Gothenburg, Sweden \u2013 August 1, 2026:<\/strong> Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/span><\/a>) gathered to protest the Iranian regime\u2019s ongoing wave of executions and to call for an immediate halt to death sentences.<\/p>\n
Protesters called on the Swedish government to take decisive action against the Iranian regime over its executions and terrorist activities, including closing the regime\u2019s embassy in Sweden, which they described as a hub for espionage and terrorism. They also demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners in Iran.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Demonstrators strongly condemned the ruling clerical regime, describing the executions as a blatant violation of human rights. Participants paid tribute to the victims by holding their photographs and reaffirmed their commitment to continue their struggle until the regime is overthrown and a democratic republic founded on peace, freedom, and justice is established in Iran.<\/p>\n<p>Protesters also rejected all forms of dictatorship, whether <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monarchical<\/a> or theocratic, emphasizing their opposition to both the rule of the Shah and the current clerical regime. They voiced support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCRI<\/a>) as a
