Bucharest exhibition highlights Iran\u2019s human rights abuses and calls for an end to executions.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Bucharest, Romania \u2013 August 15, 2026<\/strong> \u2013 Supporters of the Iranian Resistance (NCRI<\/a> and PMOI<\/span><\/a>) held a photo exhibition in Bucharest highlighting human rights violations in Iran and calling for urgent international action to stop the execution of political prisoners and prevent the implementation of death sentences.<\/p>\n
\u201cUrgent action is needed to stop the execution of political prisoners in Iran,\u201d<\/strong> the exhibition emphasized, drawing attention to the continued detention of protesters arrested during Iran\u2019s January 2026 uprising, as well as the executions and imminent execution of political prisoners.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The event called for the complete abolition of the death penalty in Iran and the immediate release of all political prisoners and detainees, particularly those facing imminent execution. Organizers also urged the international community to take action and called for senior Iranian regime officials to be held accountable before an international tribunal for crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The exhibition expressed support for <a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">NCRI<\/span><\/a>\u00a0President-elect <a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">Maryam Rajavi<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and her \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/campaign-of-no-to-executions-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">No to <\/span>Executions<\/a> \u201ccampaign, while reaffirming calls for fundamental political change in Iran and the establishment of a secular and democratic republic. The organizers rejected both the ruling theocracy and a return to <a class=\"reset interactable cursor-pointer decoration-1 underline-offset-1 text-super hover:underline font-semibold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/society\/who-was-mohammad-reza-pahlavi-shah-irans-last-pahlavi-dictator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span class=\"text-box-trim-both\">monarchy<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The exhibition conveyed a clear message from Bucharest: stop the executions, prevent the implementation of death sentences, free all political prisoners, and support the Iranian people\u2019s struggle for freedom, human rights, and democracy.<\/p>\n<p>Romanian citizens who visited the exhibition expressed
