Remembering Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh and Condemning the August 19 Coup<\/h3>\n

Gothenburg, Sweden \u2013 August 22, 2026:<\/strong> Supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) gathered in Gothenburg to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh, the leader of Iran\u2019s national movement, on the anniversary of the August 19, 1953, coup that overthrew his democratically elected government. Participants condemned the collaboration of the Shah<\/a>, the clerics, and colonialism in carrying out the August 19 coup and reaffirmed their opposition to dictatorship in all its forms.<\/p>\n
