\"PMOI\/MEK — PMOI\/MEK Resistance Units in Zahedan display banners calling for freedom and a democratic republic.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
August 28, 2026 \u2014 Zahedan, southeastern Iran:<\/strong> PMOI\/MEK<\/a> Resistance Units<\/a> carried out weekly activities in Zahedan, displaying banners and placards featuring messages by Resistance Leader Mr. Massoud Rajavi<\/a> and Mrs.\u00a0 Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>). The displayed messages and slogans called for the overthrow of the mullahs\u2019 regime, rejected both monarchical and clerical dictatorship, and reaffirmed the demand for freedom and a democratic republic in Iran.<\/p>\n

Among the messages by Resistance Leader Mr. Massoud Rajavi displayed on banners and placards by the Resistance Units<\/a> in Zahedan were:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe agreement in its entirety is a cup of poison for the velayat-e faqih (Absolute religious dictatorship), one that will drown and overthrow the entirety of this regime in the storm of uprisings by various sectors and the masses of the Iranian people.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe great lesson of two wars and the 2025\u20132026 uprising is that a return to puppet monarchical fascism is nothing more than a mirage.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe overthrow of the regime is inevitable and destined to happen, whether through retreat and drinking the poison, or through war.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThroughout Iran\u2019s history, all dynasties came to power by the force of their swords. Only the Pahlavi family was imposed and was the product of a foreign coup.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have repeatedly said that Khamenei\u2019s son, like the\u00a0 Shah<\/a>\u2019s son, wants the continuation of the war. They know well that without war they have no future and no chance.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe displays and cards that the Shah\u2019s son has played one after another over the years have effectively fallen into the regime\u2019s hands and have contributed to division among the regime\u2019s opponents.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Shah\u2019s son, in addition to his tainted connections with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC<\/a>), has gradually, over the past quarter-century, become deeply immersed in a circle of intelligence-linked associates.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIran\u2019s democratic revolution and a democratic republic will triumph through the strength of the Iranian people and the Liberation Army<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
