280 Arab political figures from 11 countries condemn Iran regime\u2019s regional interference.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

280 Arab political figures<\/strong> representing 11 countries have signed a joint statement<\/a> denouncing what they describe as the Iranian regime\u2019s interference in Arab states, backing of proxy forces, export of terrorism, and policies that threaten regional security and national sovereignty.<\/p>\n

The signatories include former ministers and current and former members of parliament from Jordan, Bahrain, Tunisia, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, <\/strong>and Yemen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe, the signatories, condemn the Iranian regime\u2019s aggressive policies, its interference in the affairs of Arab countries, its support for proxy forces, export of terrorism, threats to the security and sovereignty of the countries of the region, and its persistent attempts to destabilize the region.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mousa Al-Maaytah, a former Jordanian minister of political and parliamentary affairs and chairman of the Arab-Islamic Committee to Counter the Iranian Regime\u2019s Interference in the Region, said the statement comes as activities by the Iranian Resistance inside Iran continue to expand despite intensified repression and restrictions imposed by the regime under the pretext of war.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, the regime has attempted to demonstrate cohesion and strength through public displays involving Ali Khamenei<\/a>, while \u00a0Resistance Units<\/a> affiliated with the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) have continued their activities in cities across the country. The committee said the expansion of these activities reflects the growing presence of the Resistance Units, wider popular opposition to the regime, and the depth of its internal crisis.<\/p>\n
