Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>), sent a message<\/a> to a conference at the UK Parliament on September 9, focusing on the link between human rights and democratic change in Iran.<\/p>\n

Addressing members of the House of Commons and House of Lords, Mrs. Rajavi<\/a> said that human rights and their vital link with democratic change represented the main issue facing Iran today. She said that young people in Iran were standing up to end religious dictatorship and establish \u201ca free and democratic republic.\u201d<\/p>\n
