Their message was clear: <strong>Stop Executions in Iran!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"St Helens, UK: Academics in Exile Call for an End to Iran\u2019s Executions \u2013 Oct 20, 2026\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Cp9hXYeQZgc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:align-top\">The public response was powerful. People expressed solidarity with the Iranian people\u2019s struggle for freedom, democracy, justice, and a secular republic. Many also signed petitions calling on the United Nations and the international community to take concrete action against executions and to support the Iranian people\u2019s democratic aspirations.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Academics in Exile members and NCRI supporters took to St Helen's  streets with a clear message: Stop executions in <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hashtag\/Iran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Iran<\/a> ! TUSDAY 20 Oct 2026<\/p>\n<p>Our book table and photo exhibition exposed human rights abuses, winning public solidarity and signatures urging the UN and\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NZwQ5CrARq\">pic.twitter.com\/NZwQ5CrARq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Academics In Exile Association (@iranianacademic) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/iranianacademic\/status\/2112847181489033347?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 21, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:align-top\">Through photographs, publications, and personal testimonies, the organizers sought to highlight the human cost of repression in Iran and the suffering endured by ordinary people.
