The Mola al-Movahedin predatory governmental Institute disguised as a charity is another example of the mullahs regime\u2019s and IRGC\u2019s<\/a> dominance over Iran\u2019s economy. They spend Iranian people\u2019s plundered properties and assets to advance the evil intentions of warmongering and the spread of fundamentalism and terrorism around the world as well as for guaranteeing the survival of Velayat-e faqih regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Background<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The so-called \u201cCharity\u201d of Mola al-Movahedin, registered in Kerman in 1987, owns 100% of Mahan Airlines<\/a>.
The two main founders of the institute were Hossein Marashi (the Kerman\u2019s governor) and Seyyed Yahya Jafari (then Kerman\u2019s Friday Prayer\u2019s Imam). Later, 15 individuals, including Hossein Arabnejad, one of the former IRGC commanders, were introduced as the board of trustees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, Mola al-Movahedin institute grew swiftly and is currently a\nshareholder of more than 30 major companies and invests in various projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The institute has invested in establishing special economic zones of the New\nArg, and Sirjan. It also invested in Mahan Airlines, airport construction\nhotels, service centers, entertainments, and sports centers.
\nIn addition to owning a 100% of Mahan Airline\u2019s shares, 50% of Kerman Khodro\u2019s\nshares are under the control of this Institute in 2014, the Institute\u2019s capital\nwas estimated at 350 million dollars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remarks of Mola al-Movahedin officials, as well as those of the\ngovernment officials, clearly show that this institution has enjoyed the\nsupport of the government since its foundation. It is only cloaking as a\nprivate institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hossein Marashi, the former governor of Kerman and the main founder of the\ninstitute, stated: \u201cWhat we do is generally something that cannot be decided\nand implemented by the private sector\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also stated in an interview that he has launched Mahan Airline without dedicating any money<\/a>. (Iran\u2019s State TV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a member of the regime\u2019s parliament in a very complex process\nand by using its influence in the government this institute has seized more\nthan a thousand hectares (10 million square meters) of lands between Kerman and\nMahan to create a tourism area.
\nThe contract, which was signed in the presence of Kerman\u2019s governor at the time\nand the board of directors of the institution then, 318 hectares of land (3\nmillion and 180 thousand square meters were handed over to this looter\ninstitution free of charge and 700 more hectors at a price of 16 Tomans per\nmeter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2012, these lands were sold to people at the price of more than 30\nthousand Tomans per meter (That is about 1900 times higher than the initial\nprice).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As stated, Mahan Airline was Iran\u2019s first private airline. It is owned by\nthe so-called Mola al-Movahedin Charity Institute which belongs to the Iran\nRevolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Nov. 6, 2017, the national council of resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a> disclosed in a statement<\/a>: \u201cMahan Airline belongs to the IRGC and is engaged in transferring weapons and forces to Syria to massacre the people of that country, and is a tool to clearly violate UN Security Council\u2019s resolutions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another article dated Jan. 24, 2019, NCRI websit<\/a>e wrote: \u201cIran wants Assad in power so that they can turn Syria into a proxy state as part of their Shiite Crescent across the Middle East despite the grave humanitarian cost to the Syrian people. Mahan Airline transferred Qods Force fighters, weapons, equipment, and money to the Assad regime on behalf of the mullahs in Iran, mainly under the guise of \u201ccommercial\u201d flights to Damascus from Iran.\u201d
