NCRI\u2019s press conference in Warsaw<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poland and the United States co-host the \u201cMinisterial to Promote a Future of Peace and Security in the Middle East\u201d in Warsaw on February 13-14. Key members of the international community have attended the Warsaw summit whose focus is on Iran and its destabilizing role in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simultaneous to the first day of Warsaw summit<\/a>, the supporters of the Iranian resistance, National Council of Resistance of Iran<\/a> (NCRI), led by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, held a rally in Warsaw to convey the voice of the Iranian people, who demand regime change, to the international community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the rally, the former New York Mayor, Rudy Giuliani; the former Algerian Prime Minister, Sid Ahmed Ghozali; the former US Senator, Robert Torricelli, and several Polish MPs and Senators Participated in the\u00a0 NCRI\u2019s press conference in Warsaw. They made remarks and answered the questions on the relevant subjects to the Warsaw summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rudy Giuliani was the first speaker at the NCRI\u2019s press conference in Warsaw<\/a>, he said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIran\n(regime) is the number one state sponsor of terrorism in the world. We should\nnot be doing business with a regime that supports terror. The Warsaw Summit\nshould be focused on how we change Iran. How do we change their behavior\nagainst their people? The last two Free Iran conferences I attended, the regime\ntried to bomb them; the last one was in Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We believe the alternative to this regime is Madam Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, and this organization, the MEK<\/a>, is at the core of that movement. We want to see a non-nuclear Iran. A free Iran. So that the people of Iran can have their country back. We want to see a democratic Iran. A non-monarchy, non-mullah dictatorship.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NCRI\u2019s press conference in Warsaw<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Marcin\n\u015awi\u0119cicki, an MP from Poland and a former minister for foreign economic\nrelations, told the NCRI\u2019s press conference in Warsaw:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am here to support the democratic opposition of Iran. I have already participated in a few meetings of the Iranian opposition in Paris, and as Mayor Rudy Giuliani said, the regime tried to bomb these rallies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poland had\nto fight for its freedom, and the Iranian people are doing the same. That\u2019s why\nwe support the democratic opposition in Iran against a regime that is\nsuppressing its people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We support\nthe 10-point plan of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, equal rights for men and women, rights\nfor minorities, religion, and freedom of choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am certain\nthat this fight for democracy and to abolish a regime that does not respect\nhuman rights will be a successful one.\u201dThe next speaker to the NCRI\u2019s press\nconference in Warsaw was the former Algerian Prime Minister, Sid Ahmed Ghozali.\nHe said: \u201cWe are here as messengers of peace. We want the stability of the\nMiddle East and all neighboring countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main\nmenace is coming from state terrorism by the Iranian regime, and we see that\nviolence in countries like Iraq, Syria, and Yemen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we are\nhere to support the Iranian people. This weekend marked the 40th anniversary of\nthe fall of the Shah\u2019s dictatorship. The people of Iran got rid of a\ndictatorship but got into a worse dictatorship of the mullahs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MEK has a record of more than 50 years of resistance. We have seen a lot of sacrifices and over 120,000 have been executed by the mullahs<\/a>\u2019 regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is why\nthe sacrifice of the Iranian people is not only for freedom in the Middle East\nbut for the whole world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former US\nSenator Bob Torricelli told the NCRI\u2019s press conference in Warsaw: \u201cThe people\nof Iran want regime change. They are good people, talented people who should\nnot be condemned to live in poverty and repression. I congratulate the\ngovernment of Warsaw for their courage to hold this conference. The people of\nPoland never gave up the desire for freedom and they won, so will the Iranian\npeople.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NCRI\u2019s press conference in Warsaw<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Senator Ryszard Majer, Vice President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Polish Senate, adressed<\/g> the NCRI\u2019s press conference in Warsaw: \u201cRespect for the right of Iranians and freedom for the Iranian people is needed for the whole world. As a Pole, I understand this desire. For many years we lived under a dictatorship. Prisons were full of political prisoners who wanted freedom of expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Mrs.\nMaryam Rajavi wants to bring freedom and democracy to her people. In this\nmovement, respect for human rights and freedom are not just empty slogans.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senator\nZbigniew Cicho\u0144, from Poland\u2019s PIS party, was the next speaker to the NCRI\u2019s\npress conference in Warsaw: \u201cWe Polish people have a special attitude towards\nthe Iranian nation because, during the 2nd World War, they had taken care of\nthousands of Polish soldiers who were crossing through Iran. They were hosted\nwith great hospitality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now the\nIranian nation has to obtain its dignity and be a nation of complete freedom.\nWe have to give the Iranian people the help they need to obtain human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thousands of\nIranians are in jail for demanding their rights. Even the lawyers who defend\nthem end up in jail. All Poles are in solidarity with you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answering a\nquestion from an Albanian journalist about the expulsion of the Iranian\nregime\u2019s ambassador from Tirana over his role in terrorism against the MEK,\nMayor Rudy Giuliani said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have great respect for the government of Albania. They welcomed a number of people (from the PMOI\/MEK) and saved their lives<\/a>. In Iraq, the regime was slaughtering these people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a plot in Albania to bomb the MEK\u2019s Persian New Year celebration<\/a>, and that led the Albanian government to expel the Iranian ambassador<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same thing happened in France in June; there is an Iranian diplomat arrested in Germany<\/a> who is now in jail in Belgium over this plot. I think we should throw out all the Iranian regime\u2019s diplomats for committing these acts of terror.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
