On July 13, 2019, Ashraf 3, new home to members of the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) hosted many Iranians and distinguished figures from the world’s five continents. The U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman was one of the prominent politicians who took part in the gathering and delivered important remarks. He said:

“It is not only an honor but exciting to be here in Ashraf 3. We gathered in many meetings at this time of the year in Paris and the crowd was enormous, but there is nowhere I would rather be today than in Ashraf 3,” Senator Joseph Lieberman said during his speech at the MEK rally in Ashraf 3.

“Iran is ready for a new dawn and day. You are ready. We are ready,” Senator Lieberman continued, and then he chanted, “Hazer! Hazer!” meaning “I am ready” in Persian, which has become a motto of Iranian Resistance members.

“Now that you are here [in Ashraf 3], the NCRI and MEK can focus its efforts on the fight inside Iran,” Lieberman said at the MEK rally in Ashraf 3.

“History is on your side. Freedom and justice will always prevail. And that is what the MEK and NCRI represent,” Sen. Lieberman added at the MEK rally in Ashraf 3.

“Maryam Rajavi is a principled, visionary, self-less leader and cares for every one of you… Ashraf 3 is the best proof that this movement is a viable alternative to the ruling mullahs in Iran,” Lieberman said. “To those who advocate appeasement, it’s time to stand for the people’s freedom. It’s time to bring a government to Iran that is accountable to the Iranians. A government of the people, by the people, for the people.”

Sen. Lieberman ended his speech by again saying, “Hazer, Hazer, Hazer.”
