July 12, 2022—Iranian Resistance Units, a network of activists associated with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), carried out activities across Iran against the regime’s forced hijab rule.
The activities come as the regime has intensified its repressive measures against girls and women. In their activities, the Resistance Units stressed their support for freedom of clothing and spread messages of Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
Iran: MEK Resistance Units denounce forced hijab laws of the mullahs’ regime
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi president-elect of the NCRI regarding oppression of the Iranian women by the regime of mullahs said: “Fearing the popular protests and women’s active role in them, the misogynous regime ruling Iran has stepped suppression of women under the pretext of “improper veiling.” I urge Iran’s rebellious youths to stand up to the security forces’ attacks and defend women and girls”.
Mrs. Rajavi added: “The freedom-loving women and girls in Iran rise up and say no to the mullahs’ compulsory religion, no to the compulsory Hijab, and no to the compulsory rule of the anti-Iranian and anti-Islamic regime”.
