Bolton, UK – January 29, 2025: Academics in Exile Exhibition Urges UK Leaders to Act Against Executions of Iran’s Political Prisoners

Bolton, UK – January 29, 2025

Bolton, UK – January 29, 2025: Members of the Academics in Exile Association, supporting the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), organized a book and photo exhibition to protest the death sentences imposed on political prisoners affiliated with the PMOI. The event urgently called on UK leaders to take action to save Iran’s political prisoners facing execution and to support campaigns against these injustices.

The organizers condemned the Iranian regime’s ongoing crimes against its people and expressed solidarity with the Iranian Revolution.

The event shed light on Iran’s dire human rights situation, with a particular focus on political prisoners facing execution. It also called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held by the mullahs’ regime.

The exhibition urged the UK government to officially designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization and to shut down the Iranian regime’s embassy, which is considered a hub for espionage and terror. Members of Bolton’s Iranian community demanded the international prosecution of Iran’s leaders for crimes against humanity.

The Academics in Exile Association stated on X platform: “An exhibition held in Bolton on 29/01/2025 and urgently called on UK leaders to take action in saving Iran’s political prisoners facing execution and to support campaigns against these injustices.

The exhibition was well-received by the citizens of Bolton, and they signed a petition condemning the human rights violations committed by the mullah regime in Iran.
