Oslo – April 11, 2026: After more than 40 days of continuous protest gatherings, supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered outside the Iranian regime’s embassy to protest the executions of six political prisoners affiliated with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK): Mohammad Taghavi, Akbar Daneshvar Kar, Babak Alipour, Pouya Ghobadi, Vahid Bani-Amerian, and Abolhassan Montazer.
Demonstrators denounced Iran’s ruling establishment, describing the executions as a grave human rights violation. They called for regime change and urged the Norwegian government to adopt a firmer stance toward Tehran, while emphasizing the need for international accountability to address ongoing repression.
The rally featured speeches and placards highlighting the plight of political prisoners, along with calls for global solidarity to stop executions.
In this rally, Mr. Parviz Khazaei, the representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in the Nordic countries, also participated and delivered a speech to the attendees, addressing the crowd and expressing support for their demands.
Call for International Support
Organizers urged the Norwegian public and international community to recognize the Iranian people’s rejection of all forms of dictatorship—whether monarchical or theocratic. They also called for the closure of the Iranian regime’s embassy in Norway, describing it as a center of espionage and terrorism, and urging Norwegian authorities to shut it down immediately.
