“ Free Iran ” Grand Gathering at Villepinte Calls for Regime Change in Iran
As we come closer to the June 30 Grand Gathering of Iranian Resistance in Villepinte, Paris, the Mojahedin supporters in addition to all freedom lovers are growing more anxious to make this event a true show of might of the Iranian people’s opposition to the mullahs’ rule. At the same time, we can see the animosity of Khamenei’s regime and its collaborators at new heights.
To comprehend the reality of these changing times, not a lot of reasoning is necessary.
With a glance, we can see the people in streets of Iranian cities crying out for their legitimate rights such as democracy, human rights, peace, and freedom.
This is while mullahs’ decaying system of governance is literally falling apart with its leader, Ali Khamenei, having no other choice but to increase domestic repression and continuing on exporting of terrorism abroad.
Therefore, this year’s Iranian Grand Gathering on July 30 is especially important due to recent domestic and international developments.
The diaspora, with its extensive partaking in the ceremony, aims to draw world’s attention to some pivotal points:
First, to draw the attention to their suffering but proud nation, held captive by a corrupt, suppressive, and fundamentalist regime that has enjoyed extensive financial resources and support from international appeasers through the years.
Indeed, the voices echoed at Villepinte this year will come from political prisoners, martyrs, and protesters, whose outcries with slogans such as “death to the principle of supreme leadership” are resonated everywhere in Iran, demanding regime change with all of its internal factions, the so-called reformists or principalists.
This is about an unequal battle between a bloodthirsty clerical regime with its backward thoughts, steadfast to vanquish a young and dynamic society, and a risen nation, determined to win its freedom at any expense.
Second, the gathering at Villepinte means support for Iran’s resistance with all of its democratic and human rights plans for the future of Iran. This persevering resistance is credited for four decades of fighting against the fundamentalist clerical regime in Iran at the cost of 120.000 martyrs. At the Villepinte‘s Gathering, the world will encounter the manifestation of the Iranian people’s desire for ‘Change’, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, as the symbol of a tolerant and democratic Islam against misogynist mullahs ruling Iran.
Third, participants at Villepinte will send a clear message to those who appease the clerical rulers in Iran for lucrative deals. The message says “stop the game of reformist-hardliner playing with the regime’s internal factions. The clerical regime is a whole entity with all its suppressive apparatuses such as the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, Basiiji militias, plainclothes, etc. Do not stand shoulder to shoulder with this fundamentalist regime, but recognize the rights of Iranian people and their resistance to freedom and democracy!”
Fourth, at the Villepinte Grand Gathering, with revealing of the malign policies of the clerical regime on the issues of terrorism, fundamentalism, and expansionism, a clear message of peace and friendship to the oppressed people of Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, and Afghanistan will be sent by the Iranian people.
Fifth, the Iranian Grand Gathering at Villepinte will confirm that there are no “spontaneous” upheavals in Iran and that all the developments and changes taking place are, in essence, conducted by the resistance network in Iran. This is the resistance with a track record of five decades of fighting against dictatorial regimes, capable of bringing about freedom and democracy to Iran.
Maryam Rajavi s’ 10-point platform for a free Iran
Finally, at Villepinte, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s “10-Point Plan”, in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and international conventions, is reconfirmed as a platform to reach a democratic Iran.
The “Free Iran” Grand Gathering at Villepinte is an opportunity for all politicians, democratic forces, human rights activist, and all those who desire a free and democratic Iran, as well as a war-free Middle East, to join together and express their solidarity with Iranian people and their resistance against the belligerent and suppressive regime ruling Iran.
