Execution in Iran under the Mullahs’ regime continue
While the whole world is moving towards abolishing executions with decent speed, Khamenei’s declining regime is moving in the opposite direction of evolution with incredible speed in executions. Dictatorship and execution of political prisoners
The mullahs’ falling dictatorship has shown its fear of society’s growing protest movement by executing political prisoners—the dictator force to show his claws and teeth in times of crisis. That’s why, in addition to all the executions, it has included nine political prisoners related to the uprising on its execution list.
– Amir Hossein Moradi, Greater Tehran Prison
– Saeed Tamjidi, Greater Tehran Prison
– Mohammad Rajabi, Greater Tehran Prison
– Hadi Kiani, Dastgerd Isfahan
– Mehdi Salehi Shahrokhi Qale, Dastgerd Isfahan Prison
– Mohammad Keshvari, Dastgerd Isfahan Prison
– Mohammad Bastami, Dastgerd Isfahan Prison
– Majid Nazari Kondari, Dastgerd Isfahan Prison
– Abbas Mohammadi, Dastgerd Isfahan Prison
In addition, to the youth whose sentences are issued and finalized, many other detainees, such as elite students, Ali Younesi and Amir Hossein Moradi, and some other detainees, face death threats. We do not forget that 20 other political prisoners, mostly Sunni or Arab compatriots, have been sentenced to death in previous years and have been under execution for many years.
Execution of children
Meanwhile, In the first six months of this year, three children executed by the Mullahs’ judiciary. These executed children are:
– Shayan Saeedpour was executed in Saqez Central Prison on charges of murder on April 21, 2020. He escaped from prison during the Saqr Central Prison riot and was re-arrested. He had an acute mental illness.
– Majid Esmailzadeh was executed in Ardabil Central Prison on April 18, 2020 on charges of murder.
– Arsalan Yassini was executed in Urmia Central Prison on August 17, 2020, on charges of murder. He was tortured and forced to confess without committing murder.
Prisoners of ordinary crime
During the first six months of 1399 Iranian year or April to September 2020, 128 prisoners executed on charges of ordinary and social crimes.
These prisoners are generally portrayed in the state media as murderers, thieves, rapists, and drug dealers. But, the judiciary never answers why these criminals stole or sold drugs.
Executed women
Among the detainees arrested for ordinary crimes are two women. With an unknown last name, Mehri hanged in Mashhad prison on August 2, 2020, and Fereshteh executed on August 18. Iran regime is world’s record holder of the executions of women.
Also, among the executed prisoners, two prisoners were executed for espionage and one prisoner for drinking alcohol.
In conclusion, Among the executed prisoners, the execution of political prisoner Mostafa Salehi and Navid Afkari, wrestling champion, shocked the Iranian public and the world public opinion more than others. The anti-execution campaign launched on the eve of the execution of the two prisoners was unprecedented. For instance, artists, athletes, politicians, and the toilers all stood up to prevent the two men’s criminal execution. But Khamenei proved to be too weak to retreat.
Above all, the execution is the lever of the regime’s survival. However, it seems destined that death sentences will become the hanging rope of a religious dictatorship.
