Hanover, Germany—January 20, 2024: MEK Supporters Celebrate Anniversary of Massoud Rajavi’s Release from Shah’s Prison in 1979

Hanover, Germany—January 20, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) celebrated the anniversary of Massoud Rajavi‘s release from the Shah regime’s prison in 1979, marking the liberation of the last group of political prisoners.

Massoud Rajavi was the leader of the main opposition to the mullahs’ rule after the 1979 revolution. He opposed the mullahs for violating the people’s basic rights and freedom. He then formed a coalition of opposition groups and personalities named the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

Massoud Rajavi’s efforts turned him to number-one enemy to the mullahs. PMOI/MEK supporters bear the heaviest charges in Iran’s prison.

Every year, supporters of MEK mark his freedom’s anniversary to value his tireless efforts against the mullahs’ dictatorship in Iran.
