Winchester, England – February 25-26, 2025: Members of the Academics in Exile Association, who support the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), organized a book exhibition to condemn human rights violations in Iran.
The event highlighted the critical situation, particularly the plight of political prisoners facing death sentences, such as Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, who face imminent execution. They called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held by the mullahs’ regime.
The exhibition also urged the UK government to officially designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization and to close the Iranian regime’s embassy, which is described as a hub of espionage and terror. Members of Winchester’s Iranian community called for the international prosecution of Iran’s leaders for crimes against humanity.
The Academics In Exile Association stated on the X platform: “URGENT: Iranian political activists Behrouz Ehsani & Mehdi Hassani face IMMINENT EXECUTION after their retrial request was rejected. We urge @UNHumanRights, @UN_HRC & the Special Rapporteur to take immediate action!” “Every second counts—raise your voice!”
